Which Option Should I Choose?

To run your audit, you can choose between two options:

  • Provide read-only AWS access (recommended)
  • Export and share cost data

Both options work. The right choice depends on your preferences and constraints.

Providing read-only access allows us to analyze your system directly.

  • More complete and accurate analysis
  • Access to usage, configuration, and metrics
  • Better identification of cost-saving opportunities
  • Less manual work required from you

When to choose this:

  • You are comfortable granting temporary read-only access
  • You want the most detailed results
  • You want the fastest and easiest setup

This option provides the best results with the least effort.

Alternative Option: Export Cost Data

You can export your billing data and share it instead of granting access.

Why you might choose this:

  • You prefer not to grant access
  • Your organization has strict security policies
  • You want to manually control what is shared

Trade-offs:

  • Less detailed analysis
  • No access to configuration or metrics
  • Some optimization opportunities may not be identified

This option still provides useful insights, but is more limited.
